OtherHalf—Chinese Stem Cell Initiative is a non-profit organization which was started by a group of concerned Chinese Canadians who would like to help increase the number of registrants of Chinese origin in the stem cell registry. In collaboration with OneMatch, a member of the global stem cell network, we are conducting stem cell drives and sustained awareness campaigns to deflect myths and educate the public about stem cell donation.

Sharis Mission. In 2009 Shari was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and told that she needed a Stem Cells Transplant. When Shari was admitted into the hospital she made her father (Mike) promise her that if they were unable to find her a match, they must find one for everyone on the list. And thus Shairs Mission was born. Shari has had her transplant but they continue with their mission.

Mike has been working round the clock, behind the scenes making sure that Sharis Mission achieves its goal. He and a large number of volunteers have been working very hard within the Jewish Community and with many other groups doing many registration events in conjunction with One Match.
